Monoa Valley Falls

Last Saturday walked to Monoa Valley trail. It was kinda mild. Trail was set with steps and all... better than Diamond Valley but still kinda boring. I was hoping the falls would be this grand fall where you could actually jump in... but... as you can see... far from it... i heard there are some on the island somewhere but gotta search harder...

so since i was bored... i went off trail and followed the stream for about 1/2 mile... it ran parallel to the trail. Probably not the smartest thing but at least it made it interesting... the top pic on the next blog entry shows what i was hiking through... pretty much just going from rock to rock in the stream... at one point, i wasn't sure if i should try jumpng onto a small rock 5 feet away just to immediately jump on another one 5 feet away... didn't seem that sturdy... but i went for it... almost fell in the stream... but i'm safe so no worries... finally found the spot where i could get back on the trail... and had a long walk home...

Next week gonna try Maunawili Falls... skydiving will have to wait until i can save up some more money...
